Frequently Asked Questions
Will care buddy record daily update of the patient?
Its basic protocol and one of the most important roles of Care Buddy is to log all activities, vital signs, and medications that need administration. This is equally helpful for physicians (or pediatric doctors) to patient health. Keeping a close record of all activities and vital signs is incredibly important. Apart from this, a daily log of activities is also maintained for the Patient.
Why are ADLs (or Activities of Daily Living) important?
It allows Care Buddy to have a comprehensive understanding of what the patient requires on a daily or regular basis. Our Care Buddy remains an integral companion in the lives of Care Recipients. This helps to keep the Care Recipient’s mind positive and prevent social isolation. Care Buddy will be available to engage in conversations that encourage mental stimulation and positive thoughts, as well as reminisce memories. ADL would also include activities that are considered fun by the Care Recipient to ensure an optimistic and relaxing atmosphere for Care Recipient.
In an emergency, what procedures would be followed?
A resident care support specialist (Care Manager) creates a bespoke Care Plan for your loved ones working with a patient. We like to understand the patient’s needs, issues, ailments, diseases, and more. It’s best to understand how emergencies should get handled in case they occur. This can be a written procedure list from the family or the provider. ICE (In case of Emergency) protocol as listed by the Patient and the kin is followed to the T by the Care Buddy.
Are we comfortable with pets or animals in the home?
Absolutely, our Care buddies love pets. We think pets are family for the care recipients in the modern lifestyle. We understand that animals in the home can often add a therapeutic value to the living environment that make Care Recipients feel loved.
How do Care Buddies deal with angry, stubborn, or fearful recipients?
Our motto of Care, Compassion, and Companionship (3 C) and the hospitality training provided to the Care Buddies make them true companionship champions. For us, it’s essential to establish a close connection with the Care Recipient and establish trust. These situations need to be handled with patience, care, ease, and support. But again, establishing trust with the patient early on is very important and pivotal to the Care Buddy’s role.
